Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation
It would not be an exaggeration to say Camp Sunshine runs on Dunkin’.

Since 2015, local Dunkin’ franchisees have donated all the coffee, cups, and lids Camp Sunshine needs for the season, saving thousands of dollars for the program.

This partnership was strengthened in 2016 when a Camp family and Dunkin’ employee introduced Camp Sunshine to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to provide the simple joys of childhood to children battling hunger or illness - what a great match with Camp!

Camp Sunshine strives to make activities and Camp facilities accessible to all participants, while ensuring the safety of everyone on campus. Support from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is helping Camp Sunshine do this. Initial grants from the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation made it possible for Camp Sunshine to purchase a portable AED machine, make needed repairs to several wheelchair ramps and enhance its playground with the addition of a handicap-accessible swing and portable playground area making it easier for children who need the assistance of a wheelchair to access the equipment.
Their support also allowed Camp Sunshine to acquire a beach wheelchair, equipped with large tires that roll easily across sand, the chair is designed to go into the water where they float, giving these children the opportunity to swim in Sebago Lake.

The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation and local Dunkin’ franchisees’ generosity also extends to sponsoring families to attend Camp. Their gifts from 2017-2019 gave 16 families the opportunity to enjoy a Camp Sunshine retreat.
