Our year-round campus was completed in 2001. The campus on beautiful Sebago Lake is located on 23 acres of donated land adjacent to Point Sebago Resort. The facility now serves 40 families each week, with the capacity to operate approximately 35-45 sessions a year.
The challenge now is to establish an Endowment Fund needed to support the program and increase the number of sessions per year in which we can offer this unique program to families in need. We need a total of $14,500,000 in the Endowment Fund to support a year-round program for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
We have currently received over $8,000,000 in commitments towards the Endowment Fund and Capital Campaign. Of this amount, approximately $1,400,000 was used to construct a 7,000 square foot addition and second story onto Camp Sunshine's Viterbi Family Activity Center. Our plan for the next couple of years is to raise the remaining amount required to yield the income needed to assist with the operation of the year-round program.
